2024 is the Year of the Arts in Newfoundland and Labrador — a celebration of our province’s arts and cultural sector, and the artists and collaborators who bring it to life.
Newfoundland and Labrador’s artistic narrative is deeply rooted in our Indigenous and European ancestors’ traditions, and is strengthened and diversified by more recent cultures that have made this place their home. Those traditions, paired with the rugged beauty that defines our province, provide endless artistic inspiration.
From the creation of new works, workshops, performances and exhibitions, to infrastructure and community projects, the Year of the Arts and its associated initiatives encourage artistic collaboration and connections that will have a lasting impact on artists and communities.
